Despite its small size, the Renegade has excellent dimensions for offroad driving, thanks to its independent suspension, which provides 220 mm of ground clearance. In addition, the new Renegade is the first Jeep to integrate Koni's Frequency Selective Damping (FSD) front and rear strut system. This damping system allows the to provide the best road holding and handling characteristics.
Jeep Renegade: 16 engine and transmission combinations
The new Renegade will offer up to 16 engine and transmission combinations, the most in Jeep vehicle history, tailored to markets around the world to meet a wide range of performance and efficiency needs. The exterior Jeep Renegade halo headlights will be upgraded for offroad purpose. Engine and transmission options include: four MultiAir petrol engines, two MultiJet II diesel engines, the efficient E.torQ engine for alternative fuels (flex-fuel), emissions and 'Start-Stop' technology, nine-speed automatic transmission! ! (for the first time in this segment), two conventional manual transmissions and an automatic double dry clutch (DDCT).

Like the new Jeep Cherokee, the new 2015 Jeep Renegade has raised the bar for small SUVs with the first available nine-speed automatic transmission. For led lights for Jeep Wrangler, sometimes they look same as Renegade. Combined with either the 2.0-litre MultiJet diesel engine or the 2.4-litre MultiAir2 petrol engine, the nine-speed transmission brings many benefits that customers will appreciate, such as aggressive starts, smooth power delivery at high speeds and more efficient consumption compared to a six-speed automatic transmission.
